The captain of the Fight-N-Lady, Sam Stokes, has been charter fishing for over 40 years at Oregon Inlet. His first job at the fishing center as a mate was in his early teens. He advanced to captaining his own boat at age 21. Ever since he has fished the Fight-N-Lady out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and has many notable catches to his credit. Pictures displayed on the boat of the 1,020 lb blue marlin caught in 1987, the 918 lb blue marlin caught in the Pirates Cove Bill fish tournament are just a few of the highlights of a long fishing career.
