He soon became obsessed with the Tarpon and Snook that ambushed bait near those bridges. His obsession would eventually bring him to cross paths with snook legend Dave Justice. Dave and Alex formed a friendship based on their common quest for snook and have shared a myriad of hard earned Biscayne fishing knowledge over the years.
